Nanowrimo 2016 Part 3

Part 1
Part 2

/---------------Girls, Be Ambitious-------------/
“Love and friendship, these feelings intertwine
so let’s play up the important things!”
from “Girls, Be Ambitious!”

Kneeling on a cushion, Shiina faced her TV, from which emanated an adorable explosion of velvet green, coating her with a bright light.

“Say…do you want to play? Instead of braiding my hair?” Shiina asked blankly, looking at Anne, who sat on her bed.

“Nah. Keep playing Yoshi’s Wooly World. It makes for a comfy environment. Say…this isnt’ weird is it?”

“Shh. You keep asking that.”

Shiina finished level 4-3, and began 4-4, a water world. A dance of the spectrum of blues across her screen, a more fitting accompaniment to the setting sun. Holding the gamepad at a slant, her pupils dilated, almost in revolt against game water physics. Sigh…Water physics. Weaving slowly, Anne finished braiding as her friend finished the infernal (oceanic?) level. Sigh….a breath escaped Shiina’s mouth again.

C’est fini! Fini![1]” Anne stated enthusiastically.

And then was the exchange of goodbyes. (Au revoir, bid Shiina.) Whatever shortness conveyed by the above sentences, the time was precious. Before, Anne’s hair was the only puppet to be guided, hardly a soul to share a brush, of fingers or otherwise, with others.

[1] It’s done! Done!
