"Victor Jara's Hands" by Calexico is a melodic take on music made south of the United States, with an obvious reference to the Chilean singer; a vocal solo of sorts sung in Spanish also finds its way in the music somehow.
"Library Suite" from Halo is Morton Feldman gone upbeat, with a dash of atmosphere. The sound is quite sustained.
"Sister" from LIMBO begins with a screeching sound that seems to recur cyclically as synthesizers enters the mix and the music seems slower. It never reaches the ideal ambient sound of no sounds piercing the ocean of sound, though. Most ambient songs don't have a rumbling sound reminiscent of a volcano, either.
